So many people are upset ...because they wanted something even more mind blowing? or.. was it that they wanted something obvious? all the answers you ever dreamed of?
This guy on twitter, has had the best explanation I have seen so far.
"@JamesStevenson: The Lost finale hit it out of the park. The mysteries are irrelevant, the journey and friendships aren't. What an amazing picture of death."
It's like looking at a painting, you can interpret however you want, or you can judge and hate it. but I guess it's fine either way. It's something meant to make you think, or feel... It's beautiful or ugly.

Definitely. I think a lot of people wanted everything to be really explicitly spelled out for them, or they just want to complain about something.
People who were really looking for a lot of "answers" were probably just watching the wrong show. Lost was always pretty open-ended, even for things they explained, so I was totally fine with the finale. I'm just glad they gave it a good bit of closure.
I completely agree. I loved the finale precisely BECAUSE it was open for interpretation.
It gave an excellent conclusion to all of the characters' struggles, the people we have grown to know and love over 6 years. Jack's amazing 6 year character arc came to a beautiful ending.
I thought the whole imagining of the afterlife was poetic and beautiful. Even if your friends die years after you, you will find them all there in the afterlife, because time has no meaning there.
Aside from that, you had the island self destructing, an epic showdown on the cliffs, a magical mystery cave with shiny lights, Frank Lapidus saves the day, and Hurley and Ben go on to have wacky adventures. What more could you want?
