I think that I am finding I fit into the "commercial photographer" category. I don't especially like event, or portraiture. Mainly because I have a hard time with people. I like to pay attention to details and mood. If it's a very specific shot of a person in a costume or in an elaborate setting, for some reason that's much more comfortable for me. Because it's somehow more ok to be a weirdo. And the person is more like an object or doll. The amount of setting up and creating it, makes it so much more than just pressing a button, and it is! It is art!
I do enjoy food photography (what small amount I've done officially), and certain interesting product shots, or small scale settings.
But lighting, it's all about lighting.

Food is one of the hardest one tackled even with a food stylist!
I have always heard that! but i was kind of thrown into some food projects, and was really nervous about it. it didnt turn out half bad though, pretty good! though im not a food expert. so i'd have to ask for som opinions. but i tried to study up before the shoot so i would be prepared more. ive never officially been trained in much of this, so its usually a learn as you go process
it's all about natural lighting.
